The JEDI contract was once intended to modernise the Pentagon’s IT operations for services and products rendered over 10 years. After Microsoft was once awarded the decade-long contract in October 2019, AWS had filed a bid protest immediately to DoD, difficult the verdict.

Microsoft had stated that it received the JEDI contract as a result of the USA Department of Defense discovered that it introduced “significantly superior” era at a greater worth.

Amazon believed that the re-assessment procedure was once extremely fallacious, and topic to undue drive from the previous US President Trump.

Not most effective JEDI, Microsoft and Amazon had additionally locked horns over any other $10 billion contract via the USA National Security Agency (NSA) received via AWS.
