CDC: Broome County increased to ‘prime’ price of virus transmission

(WBNG) –The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that a number of Southern Tier counties are indexed as having a “high” stage of transmission.

According to the CDC’s Level of Community Transmission map Broome, Chenango and Delaware counties are designated as having prime ranges of transmission for COVID-19.

This is according to transmission charges from Aug. 3 to Aug. 9.

In the map posted above, counties with a prime stage of transmission are proven in purple. Counties with a “substantial” stage of transmission are proven in orange, counties with a “moderate” stage of transmission are proven in yellow and counties with a “low” stage of transmission are proven in blue.

Last week, Broome, Chenango and Delaware counties had been designated as handiest having a considerable transmission price of COVID.

As of Aug. 11, all of downstate New York is indexed as having a prime price of transmission and no county is indexed as having a low price of transmission.
